Talbot House

A home from home. A second home.
A beacon of peace for soldiers during the First World War. A refuge from the atrocities.

A chance to escape reality. A peaceful, safe haven full of stories. A house where everyone is equal, without distinction of rank or status.

An authentic British soldier's club. An Every Man's Club where everyone is welcome. A community. Then and now.

Reviews from our visitors

Very nice and fun hotel!

Talbot House has been on my list for a long time. If I am ever in that area again, I will definitely choose this nice little hotel with its rich history.

A very nice experience!

Such friendly and welcoming people. You find yourself in 1920. It is wonderful to see how everything has been preserved. Well done!

We had a wonderful stay

It was a truly special experience to spend the night here.
The place is deeply moving - you can really feel the serenity, and everyone here shows great respect for what happened during World War I.
The volunteers are incredibly friendly and always ready to help.
We stayed in one of the garden rooms. The rooms are simple, but authentic, and we didn't mind the shared toilets and showers at all.
We'll definitely be coming back!
