On 30 and 31 August, you can once again encounter soldiers in the authentic soldiers' club. Some 30 British actors / soldiers will bring the atmosphere of the war years back to life. For example, you can go to mass in the chapel with the Padre, attend a debate, play garden games or sing along to classics around the piano in our Concert Hall. The British soldiers will be happy to share some anecdotes about their adventures in Poperinge! Immerse yourself in their world and discover the other side of the war past.

The Flanders Memorial Pipe Band will also be there. A garden party in Talbot House is not complete without delicious pastries. We will provide a real buffet with cakes and typical British delicacies. But rest assured, the bar will still serve local Poperinge beer.

In addition to the many ongoing activities, one of the soldiers will also take you on a tour of the House with many anecdotes. There will also be plenty of side entertainment for families and a child-friendly tour with Soldier Arthur. Every half hour, or more if necessary, we provide a tailor-made story walk. Advance booking is not necessary.

The icing on the cake is a real Concert Party, performed by British and Canadian musicians on Sunday evening 31 August in our beautiful garden.
