The Old Talbot House Foundation

The Old Talbot House Foundation is a registered British charity that supports the maintenance and work of Talbot House. The mission of The Old Talbot House Foundation consists of three core tasks:

  • Generating funds on an annual basis to ensure Talbot House remains independent and resilient, even in difficult times.
  • Providing financial support for projects such as structural repairs to the property, technological upgrades within the house and investments in the exhibition spaces.
  • To promote the ethics of Talbot House, the value of Tubby Clayton's writings and the richness of the archive.

Toc H

The history of Talbot House does not end with the end of the First World War. From the spirit that inspired the soldiers' club for three years, the globally branched Toc H movement grew in the 1920s and is still active today in Great Britain, Australia, South Africa, Germany and other countries.

Toc H strives to stimulate opportunity at a local level, promote personal and social development, and create a lasting, positive impact on the well-being of every community in which they operate.

Under the motto of the Every Man's Club, “All rank abandon 'ye who enter here,” they work for peace and reconciliation and commit to welcoming all in friendship, helping those in need, and listening to others without prejudice.
