Concert Hall

As the house and garden soon got too small for the thousands of British soldiers, the old hop barn was used for extra space. First, it served as a chapel, but soon it became a place where soldiers could come to forget their troubles and find an escape from the war by attending various shows, musical performances and movies or even by listening to (or joining in on) debates. Because numerous concert parties were held in the barn, it soon was called the concert hall.

Today, a concert party is still playing in the concert hall. The "Happy Hoppers" show will make you feel like you are sitting amidst real soldiers during the Great War.
