Visit to Talbot House

A visit to Talbot House means immersing yourself in the fascinating history of a House full of surprising stories. Get access to a permanent exhibition about the origins of the House, discover The Old House with the help of a tablet, watch two film screenings in two cinemas and enjoy the peace and quiet in the garden and a temporary exhibition in the Slessorium. We attach great importance to hospitality, which is why we also offer you a cup of coffee or tea after your visit.

As a visitor you can count on a unique insight into the past, an anthology about alliances and a peaceful plea for the future. A ticket is more than worth it.

Open the doors to the past and enter a living museum. Tap the tablet and be guided individually or with your family through the history of the First World War using moving stories, amusing anecdotes and original artefacts from a tumultuous period.

Museum opening hours

The museum is open continuously from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the last ticket sale takes place at 4:30 p.m. Groups are also welcome outside opening hours upon request.

The nearest free parking spaces near the Talbot house are located in the Engelstraat, the Oudstrijdersplein, at Cultural Center Ghybe and in the Gasthuis parking.

Museum sunday

On the first Sunday of the month, all residents of Poperinge can visit Talbot House for free upon presentation of their identity card. The Hop Museum in Poperinge can also be visited for free on that day.
