Get to know The Concerthall and experience a musical trip to the last century.

After the House and garden quickly proved to be too small for the rush of British soldiers in 1916, it was decided to use the original hop warehouse. The space above the current museum first served as a chapel, but was quickly renamed the 'Concert Hall' due to the many 'concert parties' organized there.

A place where variety shows, musical performances, debates and film screenings were organised, but above all a place where soldiers could come together and forget about the war for a while.

Today you can still go to the concert hall for a real 'concert party'. Forget your worries and enjoy a Happy Hoppers show, just like the thousands of soldiers before you, a variety act that takes you all the way back to 1917
