Together you will discover the rich history of Talbot House through a number of extraordinary experiences. You can enjoy the permanent exhibition 'A House of People', visit the Concert Hall, Tubby's Dining Room and the Slessorium, and experience the atmosphere of yesteryear in our beautifully landscaped garden. To conclude your group visit, you can experience the Talbot House experience up close together in The Old House.

Few things are as British as an English breakfast. Enjoy a satisfying breakfast and start your visit to the House with traditional flavors. In addition to an English breakfast, we also offer a continental breakfast. In the afternoon you can enjoy a delicious Westhoek picnic.

Overnight stay

Spending the night in a museum? That is only possible at Talbot House. Live like the soldiers of the past and stay one or more nights in our guesthouse. Be surprised by the room you are assigned to and enjoy the ultimate museum experience, the ideal way to experience history up close.

Museum

Discover what Talbot House has to offer as a museum. In addition to the historic House, you can explore the permanent and temporary exhibition and relax in the garden in between.

House rules

  • Backpacks are not allowed into the exhibition or Talbot House. These are best left on the bus.
  • We expect teachers to supervise their students at all times during their visit to Talbot House.
  • Are you planning to guide the group through Talbot House yourself? Due to the fragile condition of the House, the limited space and the other visitors, we ask:
    • Limit the number of people per guide inside Talbot House to 25 people;
    • For introductions for groups of more than 25 people, use the Concert Hall or garden;
    • Limit the number of people present in the chapel to 40 adults or 50 students. This is at the express request of the security services.
